Capture the greatest beauty of Walloon Lake, on this paddle-pedal loop. Since there is no current, launch can commence at Jones Landing or in the Village of Walloon Lake. After the 4.3 mile paddle, the pedal give a whole new experience. Locally termed The Seven Hills, beauty and grit go hand in hand on the North Shore Drive.

Take a dandy of a loop around beautiful Leland. Starting at Nedows Bay beach on Lake Leelanau, head South and around Brady’s Point. Turn into the river and float the lazy current into town. The boatlauch is on the left for east exit. Total float is 2.2 miles, with about 2/3 in Lake Leelanau. The nice feature is the return trip of only 0.6 miles through the neighborhoods of Leland.

The Upper Chain of Lakes in Antrim County is a long and peaceful opportunity to paddle in a lake setting without fear of whitecaps. The lakes in this section include Beals, Scotts, Sixmile, St. Clair Lake, Ellsworth, Wilson, Ben-way, Hanley, and Intermediate. The route is relatively narrow, yet extends for miles through multiple communities. Plan a section at a time, or power through the route as a marathon.
