Chain of Lakes- Torch River Rex Terrace Loop
This fine float touches 3 lakes of the Lower Chain of Lakes. Starting on Torch Lake, then down the Torch River into Lake Skegemog, then continuing Northeast into Elk Lake. The float is about 2/3 in the flat waters of Skegemog & Elk. Total float distance is 7.9 miles, and the return trip is only 2.9 miles.

Chain of Lakes- Torch River Chippewa Trail Loop
Begin to paddle in the heart of the Lower Chain at the South end of Torch Lake, down the Torch River, and into Lake Skegemog. The river has a nice gentle current, and you may spot a huge Muskellunge lurking below. The float is 4.8 miles, with half being in the current of the river and half in the flat waters of the lake. The return ride is 2.4 miles.

Chain of Lakes- Torch River Loop
This easy paddle in the heart of the Lower Chain starts at one of the most busy spots of the Chain of Lakes and ends in one of the most remote spots. Starting at the South end of Torch Lake, float the Torch River to Lake Skegemog. The river may be home to the biggest Muskellunge in the State of Michigan, as they are seen here in the clear shallow waters and the state records have been caught in the waters in the past. The float is 2.9 miles and the return is 2.4 miles.

Chain of Lakes- Bellaire Clam Torch Loop
This paddle is mostly lake paddling, with some current in Grass River. Expect some waves on windy days, especially in Torch Lake. Many places to stop for breaks along the way, and after the strenuous workout of the 12.3 mile paddle, the easy ride back to the beginning is only 2.1 miles.

Chain of Lakes- Grass River Loop
An easy adventure, disguised as a workout. Access into Lake Bellaire is very easy beach loading, then a quick shot across the lake to the Grass River. A clean easy float with the aid of the current, then outlet into Clam Lake. Half way down Clam Lake, exit on the North side and take an easy and (mostly) flat ride back to the beginning. The paddle is 5.6 miles, and the return ride is 5.0 miles.

Chain of Lakes- Bellaire Loop
Float the Chain through Bellaire, then ride back by bicycle. Start in the flat waters of Intermediate Lake, pick up the current in Intermediate River, hop over the dam in Bellaire, then back to flat water once reaching Lake Bellaire. The paddle is 5.7 miles, and the return ride is 5.8 miles as mostly flat terrain.

Chain of Lakes- Bellaire Thru Glacial Hills Loop
Float from the North side of Bellaire, starting in Intermediate Lake. Float the flat water, before picking up the current of Intermediate River. Coming into Bellaire, portage over the dam at Richardi Park. Continue down the river to Lake Bellaire, then take a hard right to aim at the north-most point of the lake. Pedal like a wild one, by commencing with the accent to the Glacial Hills peaks. Then take the downhill into Bellaire, and swing back up Northbound to the beginning. The float is 8 miles and the pedal is over 9 miles, depending on how much meandering in Glacial Hills.
